Our cottage style home
Our tiny cottage is nestled in a small town of Louisiana and is only 900sqft!
It only two bedrooms (and a half if you add the tiny nursery we converted) one small bathroom, and a super tiny cottage feel kitchen.
Read on to see how we style our small cottage style home to achieve a cozy cottage feel.
Small cozy living room
To achieve a cozy cottage feel in our small living room we first chose white and wood as our theme throughout the house, then sourced items based around that.
All of our items have a story to tell. Every item was thrifted, sourced on FB marketplace or garage sales. Even the IKEA slipcover couch! Score!
I truly believe curated items come together to create a collection of cozy like no other.
Cozy cottage bedroom
In our bedroom we have collected and mismatched furniture to curate a simple cottage feel bedroom, this ruffle skirt bedspread ties the room together giving the room that farmhouse chic look that I am going for.

Our girls Cozy Cottage bedroom
Cottage + pink = adorable! This is our girls shared bedroom with matching twin cottage feel beds.
You can find the iron beds HERE on Amazon! Super affordable. These iron beds really add to the overall feel of the room.
We do have plans to do some painting in this room, eventually.
The best detail in our girls cozy cottage bedroom would have to be the adorable dollhouse we built by hand. You can find a whole post dedicated to this dollhouse build, HERE!
Our little cottage kitchen
Although far from finished, the small kitchen gives me the most cottage-y feel and is where you will find me most days.
Since moving in, we have added a peg rail shelf that has quickly became the focal point of the kitchen. Not only is it beautiful, it totally functional. I keep our measuring cups, wooden spoons and spices here for quick access while cooking.
Want open shelving but don’t know where to fit it? TAKE OFF YOUR CABINET DOORS! We took our cabinet doors off in hopes to add open shelfs. Instantly it opened up the room and added to the cottage feel we were looking for.
This DIY costed us nothing and in return gave us open shelving!
Tiny Cottage Bathroom
Our one and only bathroom in a family of 5. Shocker!
Where’s the laundry room or dining area?
The laundry room is hidden behind closet doors in our converted nursery. I am saving our laundry room reveal for a later post, stay tuned.
Our Dining area will be getting a cottage update soon. Check back later for an entire blog post about this DIY!

I hope you love our little cottage style home as much as we do!
Be sure to check back for our dining room reveal, soon.
