I’m Caitlyn. A devoted wife and mother turning our house into a home-one cozy corner at a time. An old soul creating a simpler way of life while finding the joy in handmade, homemaking.

You can find me making wholesome from scratch meals for my family and friends, in the backyard tending to my chickens, or at the thrift store searching for the items that have a story to tell. You never know when I’ll start a project, clean a closet or sew a curtain.

About me

I live in a small town in Louisiana with my husband Michael and our 3 kids. That makes 5 of us, living in a tiny 900sqft little blue house. So you can see, living a simple lifestyle was a must, Although I would never look back. Our small home has changed us all, for the better.

I truly believe in doing what you can, with what you have, in creating a life that you love. A life that you can’t wait to wake up to in the morning. A simple, more intentional way of life.

• I was a teen mom. I had my first daughter at the age of 15. (This one really knocks people off their feet) Brooklyn is 7 now, How old am I?
• I’ve been thrifting since I was about 11 years old.
• I love to wear a pretty dress.
• If you give me coffee, I’ll get er done.
• Im a big foodie. Always have been. Food speaks to my soul.
• I come from a family of creators. Musicians, photographers, crafters, cooks, woodworkers-that would be my dad. Using God’s given gifts, your two hands to create, was passed down to me from generations.
• Im happiest when I am being creative.
• There is hardly a place I go without a notebook and pen in tow.
