Ground Turkey & Gravy
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 –2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1½ –2 cups water
- 1 cup frozen peas and carrots optional
- 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
Creamy Mashed Potatoes
- 2½ –3 lbs potatoes peeled and cubed
- 4 tbsp butter
- ¼ –½ cup heavy cream to taste
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 heaping spoonful mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Mashed Potatoes
Add potatoes to a large pot of salted water and bring to a boil.
Cook until fork-tender, about 15–20 minutes.
Drain and return potatoes to the pot.
Add butter, heavy cream, sour cream, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
Mash until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning as needed.
Cover and keep warm.
Ground Turkey & Gravy
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce.
Sprinkle brown gravy mix evenly over the turkey.
Slowly pour in water while stirring to form a smooth gravy.
Simmer for 5–10 minutes, until thickened.
Stir in peas and carrots, if using, and cook until heated through.

Ground beef can be substituted for ground turkey for a richer, more traditional flavor.

Add extra water or broth if the gravy becomes too thick.
