Equipment

  • bread machine
  • sheet pan
  • parchment paper

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Warm water
  • 1/2 cup Warm milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 6 tbsp melted or softened butter
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 3 3/4 cup Bread flour or all purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp Salt

Garlic Butter

  • 1 stick of butter melted
  • 1/4 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Parmesan cheese optional

Instructions

  • First, Place all of your ingredients in the order listed above, dry ingredients go last. (Water, milk, egg, butter, sugar, flour, salt and yeast) Set the bread machine to the “dough” setting and press start
  • Once the dough cycle is complete, place the dough onto a lightly floured surface. Then slice the dough using a dough cutter (or pizza cutter) into 12 equal pieces
  • After slicing the soft dough into 12 equal pieces, use your hands to roll each piece of dough back and forth, shaping the dough into a long rope.
  • After shaping the dough pieces into long ropes, Take each side of the rope, folding one side over the other and tie a knot. Place each knot onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Cover and rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30-45 minutes.
  • After the rolls have doubled in size, Bake the rolls at 350 for 20-25 mins or until the rolls are golden brown.
  • Mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley in a small bowl.
  • Brush the rolls with the garlic butter straight out of the oven. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese, if you desire.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce, pasta or soup. Enjoy!
