Small Batch Hamburger buns using a Bread Machine

Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour
Shaping, Rising and Baking time 45 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 50 minutes
Servings 6 Buns

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup warm water
  • 1/2 Cup warm milk
  • 1/3 Cup melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 Cup sugar
  • 3 3/4 Cup bread flour (all purpose will work too)
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 Tsp instant yeast or 1 packet of instant yeast

Instructions
 

  • Add your ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order listed. Dry ingredients go last. 
  • Then, press the ‘dough’ setting on your bread machine. 
  • When the dough cycle is complete, take the dough out of the machine and place it on a floured countertop. 
  • Divide the dough into 6 sections.
  • Shape each section into a large disk shape.
  • Allow the buns to Rise for 30 minutes. 
  • Preheat oven to 350. Brush buns with an egg wash (1 TBSP WATER, 1 EGG, lightly whisked) Add your sesame seeds now if you’d like them on your buns.
  • Cook buns for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Brush with butter, sesame seeds, or leave plain
