Instructions – How to make Flour Tortillas in a Bread Machine
Add your ingredients in the bread machine pan in the order listed. Dry ingredients go last. Then, press the ‘dough’ setting on your bread machine.
When the dough cycle is complete, take dough out of the machine and place it on a floured countertop. Roll the ball into a long log shape, then divide the dough until you have 8 sections.
Roll each section into a small round ball, let rest 10 minutes.
Using a rolling pin, roll from each direction, beginning to flatten your ball into a tortilla shape. Continue until your tortilla is 8″ in diameter. If you want perfect shaped tortillas, try using a tortilla press.
Place tortilla on a warmed dry skillet.
Heat until dough starts to puff up a little then flip, you will see little brown spots. Cooking time will vary. On med/high heat, cook tortillas 30-40 seconds on each side.
